The COSRX Clear Fit Master Patch is a thinner version of the COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch, and claims to look more invisible under makeup. So what are the differences, and which one is better? Here’s a full comparison and review:
The Clear Fit Master Patch comes in 18 10mm-sized patches, while the Acne Pimple Master Patch comes with 24 patches of differing sizes. It all really depends on your own preference, but I personally like the different sizes of the original Acne Pimple Master Patch better as my pimples sometimes come in small, manageable whiteheads, or large, painful cystic acne.
Texture and Colour
This is what differentiates the two patches the most. The Acne Pimple Master Patch has a relatively thicker, silicone-like texture, whereas the Clear Fit Master Patch has a thinner, more plastic-looking texture. Because its ultra-thin, the Clear Fit Master Patch blends much better with the skin.
COSRX claims that the Clear Fit Master Patch is to be worn during the day under makeup, but it might look a bit obvious under certain lighting due to the plastic-like texture. I would recommend putting on a matte foundation on top to conceal it better. However, for areas like your hairline or near your jawline that are not too obvious, you can still use the Clear Fit Master Patch without much notice.
When it comes to applying the patches, I much prefer the thinner Clear Fit Master Patch because it comes in a pre-cut plastic backing sheet that allows you to grab the patches without creasing the edges (a problem I frequently have with the OG). I find that the Clear Fit Patches also sticks on much better than the Acne Pimple Master Patch, so I would recommend using the Clear Fit to sleep if you move around a lot while sleeping.
COSRX recommends using the Acne Pimple Master Patch for intensive care. However, I found that both patches are very similar in terms of its performance. Both do flatten or extract the pus out of pimples very well!
Honestly, it’s very hard to choose or pick which is better. The Clear Fit Master Patch is better for its ease of application, but the Acne Master Pimple Patch is handy for its varying sizes. Personally, I would prefer to have both on hand and alternate which to use depending on the acne/ situation.
